Couples Counselling
Every relationship faces challenges. Together, we'll build communication, understanding, and stronger bonds in a warm, neutral setting.

How Couples Counselling Can Help
Even the strongest relationships go through difficult times. Counselling offers a safe, confidential space where both of you can be heard, and where you can work together to:
- Improve communication and feel genuinely understood
- Break repeating patterns of conflict and resentment
- Rebuild trust after a breach or a painful period
- Navigate life changes such as new parenthood, blended families or retirement
- Reconnect and rediscover closeness and intimacy
- Make decisions about your future together, including separating with care where that is the right path
My Approach
I work integratively, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches to suit you as a couple rather than following a single formula. My role is to stay neutral: I don't take sides, and I make sure each of you has the space to speak and to be heard.
Together, we'll explore the patterns that have developed between you, understand where they come from, and practise new ways of relating. We'll work at a pace that feels right for both of you, with warmth, respect and without judgement.
What to Expect
Our first session is a chance for me to hear from each of you about what has brought you to counselling and what you hope to change. We'll agree together on what you would like to work towards.
Ongoing sessions last 60 minutes, giving time for both of you to be heard. Sessions are available face-to-face in Bristol or online, whichever suits you best.
Who Is This For?
-
Couples feeling stuck or distant
When the same arguments keep coming round, or you feel more like flatmates than partners
-
Partners facing a big change
A new baby, a move, illness, bereavement or a shift in how you want to live
-
Couples who want to strengthen a good relationship
You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from time and space to invest in each other
All relationships are welcome: married or not, living together or apart, at any stage, and of any orientation or identity.
"Coming to counselling together is not a sign that something has failed. It's a sign that your relationship matters to you both."
– Caroline, Hourglass Therapy
